Internal Shot Peening of Transportation lines for PE granules
Our company specializes in providing solutions for any type of Shot Peening or blast cleaning application in house or on-site.
In one such project we carried out Internal Shot Peening for PE granules transportation lines. This job was done on site with our portable blast room and equipment. The total length was about 3 kilometres and Pipe ID was 12”.
Due to prolonged usage the transportation lines were worn out and became smooth. Shot peening the internal surface created surface tension through which the particles would jump instead of sliding. This not only prevents heating up of granule due to sliding, but also increases the rate of transport. Also there is no classifier choking and zero bagging rejection.
